Fancy setting a reminder to come up on your iPhone, not on a set time, but when you approach a certain location? You can now do so with  GPSReminder 2 for the iPhone. This app is basically a location-based reminder application. It allows users to set reminders that will fire when approaching a particular location.

Reminders can be created by entering an address, selecting an address from the address book, or by simply entering a location on the map (by touching the screen and holding on for a short while before being prompted to enter details). The app has plenty of options when it comes to reminders; users can enter an unlimited amount of reminders and categories of reminders and the app runs in the background.

When it comes to the map, users have the option of switching between three map modes (satellite, hybrid or map), with reminders being displayed on the map along with the user’s current GPS position.

GPSReminder 2 is available on the iTunes App Store at a promotional price of USD 0.99. This app requires a GPS-enabled iOS device such as an iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4. Check out the app over here: https://itunes.apple.com/app/gpsreminder-2/id379508795?mt=8#
