Pucca is one of my guilty pleasures shown on the Disney Channel and the cute cartoon features the title character Pucca and her attempts to get together (to kiss) or to compete with the love of her life, the ninja Garu. The results are often hilarious and the series has plenty of laughs.

This year, Pucca arrives on the iPhone in the new game by Bigben Interactive, titled Pucca Noodle Rush. The game puts players in Pucca’s shoes, helping out in her uncles’ restaurant to take on some unsavoury competition from Texas Lugie. Her tasks, for those familiar with Diner Dash, involves seating guests, taking orders, delivering meals and clearing tables.

She also has to put up with some crazy shenanigans from the various guests. For instance, Garu will need help with taking out enemy ninjas led by who else but Tobe (Pucca throw plates at them), whereas Master Soo needs to be fanned while waiting for food. Other characters impart bonuses (extra cash) and may even help Pucca if players were to serve them fast enough.

All this effort culminates to the total amount of money earned from each set of customers in that single level and whether it is enough to beat Texas Lugie’s earnings. Pass the threshold and it’s off to the next level. The cash earned can be used to upgrade existing tables, buy additional tables and even special vegetables so that customers pay a little extra.

Pucca Noodle Rush features graphics that is true to the cartoon series as well as the sound effects. Despite the familiar core, the gameplay has plenty of  unique elements to distinguish the game from the competition and it’s fun as well. Fans of time management games as well as the series will definitely love this.
