How’s everyone’s Christmas doing? It’s the end of the year and presents aside, it’s also the time to review what you’ve been gaming all year long. In my case, one of the burning questions that I have was, I wonder what would show up on my PlayStation 2022 Wrap Up. The answer is nothing.

Truth be told, I’ve not gamed on the PS5 that much this year; it was a step-child to my Xbox, Nintendo Switch and PC. I didn’t get the prerequisite minimum number of hours (10) to warrant a wrap-up at wrapup.playstation.com.

Gaming on the Xbox and Game Pass for PC

Things look a lot better on the Xbox Series S and Game Pass for PC. Based on my statistics on TrueAchievements, the top 3 titles that I’ve played for #MyYearOnXbox were:

I actually switched over to using my PC to play Halo Infinite, and this was mainly due to me being more comfortable with a mouse and keyboard and the fact that there’s a RTX 3070 sitting in my gaming rig. Of the top 3 games in my list, I’ve finished both the open-world zombie kill fest and the homage to The Legend of Zelda. I couldn’t recommend them enough.

What about Steam?

Steam is pretty much old reliable, and I like that the Steam Replay 2022 has nifty statistics including a spider graph of the kind of games that I’ve spent the most time on in 2022. And now I know my longest gaming streak in 2022 (while on Steam) was 17 days!

The top 3 games that I’ve played on Steam this year were:

I got into New Vegas to finish the only 3D single-player Fallout that I’ve not played. Vampire Survivors was basically crack, it’s darn addictive. I’ve actually finished The Ascent last year but the new DLC Cyber Heist was too tempting to pass up. The game is cyberpunk at its best, love it.

Now, Steam Replay 2022 also collated stats from my Steam Deck and what are the top 3 games that I’ve been playing on that handheld console?

And Now, The Switch

Nintendo’s Nintendo Switch 2022 Year In Review has some nifty stats up its sleeves, such as listing down my favourite games by month or by time spent. And there’s also a nice looking chart showing your gaming genres based on time spent.

My top 3 games for #NintendoSwitch2022 are:

I’ve been playing Diablo III for more than three years on the Switch, and this year I’ve clocked 34 hours on this Action RPG. Picross S is an acquired taste for gamers, but I love this puzzle game, having clocked 20 hours on this title this year. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is a favourite with my kids, but they do not game unsupervised, hence, third place.

Most Played Game?

My most played game for 2022 is…. drumroll please…. Fallout: New Vegas at 70 hours. Nothing like an oldie-but-goldie. As I’ve mentioned in my earlier article, New Vegas is definitely worth a visit. The bugs are a bit more troublesome mid-way through the game but they do taper off a bit towards the end. If you’ve not dabbled in any of the 3D Fallout games, Fallout 3 and New Vegas are excellent games to start off with before heading in Fallout 4.
