Four Years! I can’t believe it has already been 4 years since I reviewed Samurai II: Vengeance for the iPhone (check out the review here). That game, released back in 2010 for devices such as the iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 but has held up well to the passage of time and the developers MADFINGER has recently updated the game into Samurai II: Vengeance Enhanced MADFINGER Games 4th Anniversary Edition. And thanks to that update, the game is available at a discounted price of USD 0.99 for the rest of the week!

The new update brings about improved handling and performance optimization for lower end devices, along with a more intense gameplay experience. Players get to enjoy a deeper immersion into the game due to the graphical optimizations and the fact that the game now supports gamepads! Samurai II now features cloud backup and supports iOS 7 and the latest iPhones (5s and 5c).

The game has come a long way and it’s right up there with the very best that the App Store has to offer. The updated version of the game is also available on the Google Play Store for 99 cents as well. Check out the iOS version right over here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/samurai-ii-vengeance/id392486160?mt=8

On another note, it’s pretty cool Apple has provided software updates for 4 years for a device such as the iPhone 4. I can’t say the same for the likes of Android phone manufacturers such as Samsung. So much for having an open platform :P.
