Welcome Back Commander and What I Bought at PC Fair

I’m finally back! The weeks of sporadic blog updates are now over as after weeks of thumping on TMNET’s door asking “I can has phone linez and broadbands?”, the new home finally “has internets”!

Internet availability coincides with the PC Fair and I went and bought several items today, namely a Belkin Wireless Router + Modem (All-in-one) and the Microsoft Wireless Desktop 700 (Mouse + Keyboard…by which I’m typing this post) combo.

The best thing about my new Belkin toy is that it plays nice with my Nintendo DS when it comes to Nintendo WFC connections. This is unlike my old DLink router left in the old house, which I had to brainwash with an Aussie firmware before getting it to work with the DS.

Other goodies from PC Fair include an MP3 player I won from the Microsoft booth and a coffee table book from TIME, “1968 The Year That Changed the World”, a gift for taking up a one year subscription to TIME magazine.
