Fans of Eastward have plenty to cheer today as Eastward: Octopia is now available for the PC and the Nintendo Switch. The new DLC expansion from Chucklefish and Pixpil brings a standalone farming sim game mode to their critically acclaimed title which was first introduced in 2021.

Players will get to reunite with Eastward’s wholesome duo Sam and John, as they embark on a well-deserved break in the idyllic world of Octopia. They leave behind the chaos and consumption of miasma and instead embrace the tranquility of the peaceful countryside. It’s a fresh start in a pixel-crafted world as they revive an old, neglected farmstead, and breathe life to the town through community upgrades and work projects, encouraging new neighbors to move in.

The new DLC’s game mode allows players to live off the land, whip up exquisite culinary delights from soil to table, and work alongside a vibrant community of friendly faces to revitalize the town of Octopia. Players get to also spend time catching fish, talking to ghosts, and exploring the secrets hidden in Octopia

While the DLC is a standalone one, you’ll still need a copy of the base game as it’s playable from the main menu of Eastward. It is also a multilingual experience with support for French, German, Spanish, Japanese, or Chinese (Simplified or Traditional) languages.

Eastward: Octopia is out now and available on Steam and Nintendo Switch for $5.99 / £4.99 / €5.89.
