I got to hand it to Blizzard, they really did a banged-up job with Reaper of Souls. The inclusion of Loot 2.0, Adventure Mode and Nephalem Rifts, along with the increased level cap has resulted in me investing more hours to date in Diablo III than Torchlight II (which I previously rated higher than the pre-RoS Diablo III). RoS is also the reason why I’ve been behind my game reviews since my time usually is spent in the following order: Work, family, running, RoS and then only reviews.

But with the promise of regular programming returning soon, I do have to mention that last night’s loot run in RoS turn out to be something really psychedelic. I was dropped into Whimsyshire, that crazy, colourful place that Blizzard created, replete with unicorns, teddy bears, pots of gold, cupcakes, rainbows and the like, as a response to the criticism received when the first screenshots of Diablo III were released years ago.

In that craziness though, I did managed to get 3 legendary items last night. This night however, I didn’t managed to get anything of note, although the game did drop in a whole bunch of unicorns and teddy bears in a seemingly normal Diablo III level, which nearly got my character killed since I was, admittedly, taken by surprise. I think I’ll still have a go at the game 6 months down the line or until something interesting shows up to. But I promise, the iOS game reviews…they are coming!
