diabloiii

It’s been a crazy couple of weeks, with work and whatever free time I had left I spent with my family and trying to catch up with Diablo III: Reaper of Souls (which kinda explains the state of neglect on Nineoverten.com, a thousand apologies). Anyways, how has RoS been treating you so far? I think it’s plenty awesome, with the new Loot 2.0 system being introduced just before the expansion went live, along with the new, darker storyline, a level-70 cap AND adventure mode!

Gosh, adventure mode is pretty much the bomb in RoS, giving you plenty of stuff to do after you’re done with the story mode. I guess this is THE Diablo III that was meant to be released back in April 2012. LOL. OK, back to Nineoverten.com. I know I’ve got plenty of stuff to catch up, but let me let you in on this awesome Kickstarter project called 1952-2012: STORIES OF MODERN MANGA. As you probably can guess, it’s going to be a full-color, 150+ page book explaining how Japanese comic artists had built, year after year, a prominent culture tied to the Japanese history, society and pop-culture.

With a team consisting of journalists, writers, artistes and even the founder of an anime magazine, the book aims to answer that big question: how historical, social and cultural facts have affected the evolution of the manga medium? The funding period runs until the 4th of May 2014 with the hopes of raising USD 18,000. There are a number of rewards laid out for backers who fulfill different tiers of funding. I’m particular interested in the USD 30 tier which first and foremost gets you 1 copy of the book in print form, an e-book version, 5 HD wallpapers, VIP access to a special area on the project’s website and your name on the end of the book and on their Hall of Fame!
