pixelthis

Leading the charge in brand new indie iOS games being released this week on the App Store would be the Mark Brown’s Picross game, titled Pixel This!. I love Picross games, having played a couple of them on the Nintendo DS and Pixel This! looks to me as one way to get a Picross fix on an iOS device for FREE. The app features a total of 120 levels, 60 of them are available from the onset while the remainder through in-app purchases. The retro look that the game is sporting certain looks rad, so do check it out over here: https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/pixel-this!/id697795106

snailboy

Next up, we’ve got Snailboy – An Epic Adventure from South African indie studio Thoopid. The game is a unique, physics-based iOS puzzle game which features rich graphics, killers sounds and over 45 levels of intoxicating gameplay. Snailboy is a cheeky garden mollusc, which has been ambushed by the Shadow Gang. They’ve stolen his prized collection of precious shells and he needs your help to rescue them back. The game is available on the iOS App Store for USD 1.99, check it out over here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/snailboy/id695505280?mt=8

asmallhunt

Swedish indie game studio, A Small Game, brought us one of the more popular free games on the iOS App Store, Hanger, but that hasn’t made them rest on their laurels. They’ve now released a Duck Hunt inspired title called A Small Hunt. The game sports Minecraft-like retro 3D graphics and makes use of the iOS device’s gyroscope, allowing for an immersive experience. The game is available on the iOS App Store for USD 0.99, check it out over here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/a-small-hunt/id701415065/
