I really like Armor Games’ latest iOS game Flight. There’s nothing more fun than launching a souped-up paper plane and seeing how far it goes, and this is something that Flight does beautifully well. Each throw contributes to the total distance needed to reach a particular destination, such as Paris or Africa and during each attempt, players get to collect stars which translate to virtual cash.

The virtual cash is important since it can be used to purchase upgrades to your paper plane as well as one time bonuses. There are items scattered around the levels that will help in your distance attempts. Windmills provide a boost when your plane is about to crash on the ground and origami cranes provide a multiplier boost whenever you pick up stars.

Aside from the straight up go-the-distance, story-driven levels, there are also challenges to partake of in flight. Those powerups would certainly come in handy as well in this case. Flights beautiful, line-drawn graphics and soundtrack accentuate the whimsical feel that the game has; happy would be a word used to describe the entire experience.

Flight comes with Game Center for both leaderboards and achievements, and while I’m still ranked 5 digits in the standings, I would certainly like to see my paper plane fly up and up. For such a whimsical and fun game, Nine Over Ten 9/10 rates Flight at a 5 out of 5. The game is available for free for a limited time only, so you better grab it now: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/flight!/id496191902?mt=8
