Greek indie developers Total Eclipse have a bonafide iOS hit in their hands in the form of A Clockwork Brain. The game is kinda like Dr Kawashima’s Brain Age game on the Nintendo DS on steroids. This steampunk-themed title will have players going through a series of time-based challenges, the free version of the game comes with four of these challenges, while the paid version offers up a whole lot more.

But even though you only have the free version, the four challenges will test your memory, character recognition and even your mathematical faculties, and I must say, it’s a great deal of fun. The game’s graphics serves to accentuate the entire experience and with Game Center connectivity, online leaderboards and achievements are taken care of.

Playing through the challenges awards players with tokens which can be spent on unlocking special upgrades in the game. On the other hand, in-app purchases unlock the rest of the mini games. Nine Over Ten 9/10 rates A Clockwork Brain at a 4.5 out of 5, simply for being an awesome casual game.

The game is available for free on the iTunes App Store, check it out over here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/clockwork-brain-insanely-fun/id442745768?mt=8
