Remember how some carnivals would have a shooting gallery, and you’ll probably need to throw or shoot something at a target (or several of ’em) in order to earn a prize? Spinlight Studio’s latest game for the iPhone, Yodel-Oh! kinda reminds of those shooting galleries (especially those mechanical ones) in the carnival, except that instead of shooting, you tap stuff on screen.

The goal here is to tap as many points, sheeps, and rams as they appear on screen before Hans ascends and goes over the cliff. Each mistake sends Hans higher and higher up the cliff and ultimately his doom. LOL. But if you do get the high score in that attempt, you’d be crown the lofty title “The King of the Alps”.

This relatively simple game tests your hand-eye coordination and reflexes and boast some really cool art direction. I really love how the game looks and feels, with the whole Swiss Alps thing and mechanical elements. The only thing missing here is perhaps online leaderboards courtesy of either Game Center or OpenFeint as having just the offline alternative takes potential bragging rights away from really good players.

Nine Over Ten 9/10 rates Yodel-Oh! at a 4 out of 5, it’s really fun! The game is available on the iTunes App Store for USD 0.99, check it out over here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/yodel-oh!/id454293156?mt=8&ign-mpt=uo%3D4.
