On to some news on the movers and shakers of the mobile app industry, Adam Sussman, formerly the Vice-President for Worldwide Publishing for Mobile at Electronic Arts has rejoined Disney Interactive Media Group (DIMG) as Senior Vice-President of Publishing for Disney Games. This guy has an interesting career path that took him from Disney to Take 2 to EA and then back to Disney again. Check out the press release below for more details:

Adam Sussman Joins Disney Interactive Media Group as Senior Vice President of Publishing for Disney Games

Burbank, CALIF. – January 25, 2011 —  Adam Sussman has joined Disney Interactive Media Group (DIMG) as senior vice president of Publishing for Disney Games, it was announced today by DIMG Co-President John Pleasants.  Mr. Sussman will be based in Glendale and oversee sales, marketing, franchise planning and related business and revenue operations across all gaming platforms.  He will report to Mr. Pleasants.

Mr. Sussman re-joins Disney from Electronic Arts (EA) where he was the Vice President of Worldwide Publishing for Mobile.  Under his leadership, EA Mobile has become the number one applications publisher (including non-games) on the Apple App Store.  He also expanded EA Mobile’s presence into over 65 countries across 450 distribution channels.

“Adam’s ability to grow businesses geographically as well as his talent for workingacross platforms and distribution channels make him an ideal leader in our games division,” said Mr. Pleasants. “His passion for games and his understanding of all facets of the business will make him a key part of our success.”

Mr. Sussman has more than 17 years of experience managing business and publishing entities in the videogame and entertainment sectors.  At The Walt Disney Company, he oversaw corporate strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, and new business initiatives specializing in digital entertainment.   He also served as the General Manager at Take 2 Interactive where he directed all aspects of the publishing businessincluding product, development, marketing, business development and strategy.

Disney Games is a line of business within the Disney Interactive Media Group that produces experiences for console, casual, virtual world, mobile and social games.
