It’s been a while since I wrote anything about Halo, but after being contacted by the nice people at M80 regarding a certain trailer, I had to check it out. Birth of a Spartan is the official live-action trailer for Halo: Reach. If you read the novels, you would know that the augmentation process for the Spartan-II process is pretty gruelling. Birth of a Spartan on the other hand instead gives a glimpse of the Spartan-III program’s augmentation procedures with Carter-259, future leader of Noble Team, as the subject.

We also get to see the Noble Team’s Spartan-III armor which unlike other Spartan-III teams, employ the MJOLNIR armor, and not the cheaper (and less powerful) SPI armor. Yay (no offense but I really hated the look of the SPI armor, MJOLNIR FTW!!)! Overall, the trailer looks pretty cool, and I share the same impression as many a commenter on the trailer that it should be made into a live-action film.
