There are several ways to extend your Fallout 3 experience once you are done with the main quest. Basically you’ll want to mop up on the side quests (both marked and unmarked) and remainding trophies, and for this you’ll need a guide. Since I’m pretty cheap (when it comes to gaming), I use The Vault, a wiki for all things Fallout.

The guide serves to tell you where are the starting points for these side quests (e.g. Agatha’s Song) which can be off the beaten path and what conditions whereby the remainding trophies are attainable.

Next is to get the Explorer perk (when you hit level 20) in order to have every location marked down on your PipBoy. You’ll still need to discover the locations yourself, but at least knowing where a place is sets you up for interesting random encounters, especially if the place is special.

I’m currently going through the trophy list, trying to obtain the trophies that I didn’t get the first time around. I’m also exploring, walking to new places on the Capitol Wastelands, now that they are conveniently marked on myPipBoy.

You know what I’m gonna do next? I’m gonna look for that remainding Super Mutant Behemoth for the “The Bigger They Are” Trophy.
