Naughty or Nice, Phoenix Wright Fans Get Bookmarks For Christmas.

You know what would be a really cool stocking-stuffer for a Phoenix Wright fan this Christmas? How about a set of imported, limited edition Gyakuten Saiban Book Marks, produced by Capcom. Yup, you read that right, book marks. You won’t find these States-side, and thus the novelty factor is high.

Get them while they are still available at USD 24.90 for a set of three. Click here for further details.

Nintendo DS Game With The Longest Cover Box!

Published by tokyo_nights under Musings, Nintendo DS

Tetsuduo Musume DS: Terminal Memory (Limited Edition) probably takes the cake as the Nintendo DS game with the longest cover/box. The box would probably span the width of a normal Nintendo DS box nearly thrice over.

The game, with a price tag of USD 74.90 is novelty of sorts. Want one? Check it out over here.

Unknown Soldier: Mokuba no Houkou - First Impressions

It’s funny that given their country’s history, D3 decided to release a World War II game, titled Unknown Soldier: Mokuba no Houkou, a third person shooter at that. Name me another third person shooter for the DS that came out of the Land of the Rising Sun? Can’t think of any? Neither can I.

Anyways, I share the same embarassment found in Bangai-O Spirits in Unknown Soldier, whereby I couldn’t get past the tutorial levels. It’s a shame because the game is actually quite good looking and boast a couple of unique features such as backing against the wall and the camera actually pans out to show you what’s going on around the corner. You can then shoot your weapon one-armed to take out anyone around the corner.

I don’t know whether it is a feature in the tutorial levels or one that is found throughout the game but your HP replenishes over time, when no one is shooting at you (or you shooting back).

The game, or at least the tutorial, takes place in a European town. Funny you should hear combat chatter and explosions as the only people in the level are your character and a bunch of respawning enemy soldiers. Mission objectives are given over your radio and I’ve so far made a hash of them, running around the level and getting particularly annoyed at an enemy respawn point that never seems to stop churning out foot soldiers.

Any hints here? By the way, if you are wondering how I got past the menus… they are all in English. The mission objectives are in Japanese though.

Interested? Unknown Soldier is available at Play-Asia. Click here for details.

World Destruction (NDS) Opening Cinematic!

Published by tokyo_nights under Nintendo DS

What happens when you cross something that looks like it ripped off a Final Fantasy opening cinematic with a Jpop tune? You get the opening cinematic for Sega’s latest Japanese language RPG for the Nintendo DS, World Destruction.

You know what I think? It’s just too weird. I can’t imagine Square Enix doing the same as well for the Final Fantasy series. Dramatic orchestral piece + FMV FTW! Acronym, net-speak overload..omgokthxbai.

Inappropriate Witch Touching Goes For Cheap

Hehe. I can’t believe I came up with such a title. Anyways, the sequel to the game which started all this inappropriate touching business on the Nintendo DS is now available for just USD 29.90.

That’s right, Dokidoki Majo Shipan! 2 DUO is now selling with a USD 19 discount. But I don’t know who would actually go and order a copy. Would you? As for me… hmmm….. nevermind… for those who are interested, click here for details.
