Now, Nine Over Ten 9/10 doesn’t condone cheating on your girlfriend/boyfriend/wife/husband, but this sales thread in a local forum shows that you might want to lock-up your previous Apple devices before going on cheating on your partner. Apparently this guy was caught cheating with another girl by his girlfriend, and subsequently had his MacBook Air smashed (and an iPod touch thrown out of the window) by the presumably now ex-girlfriend.

But for all you know, it might just be a cool reason to sell a damaged laptop (take a look at the pictures above, taken from the said forum thread). The guy is selling the damaged MacBook Air for just RM 800 (~ USD 260) and the repair charges is estimated to be around RM 1,500 (~USD 492). Any takers? I’m actually considering getting a NDSi this Christmas to replace my aging NDS (the screen is a little shot, and the battery life isn’t that great anymore). However, I’m also taking stock on what I won’t be able to run from my games library on the NDSi.

First up, the lack of GBA port will once and for all assign the following to being permanent display units:

• Arkanoid DS controller
• Love and Berry Card Reader
• Mag Kid’s Optical controller
• Rumble Pak

I also won’t be able to run my GBA games, especially the range of bit Generations titles, Digidrive, Coloris, Soundvoyager and Boundish. These games would have benefit from the wider, more vibrant screens of the NDSi.

On the R4 front, it’s would be useless to run the flashkart on the NDSi. That means I won’t be playing emulated NES and SNES games anytime soon (along with pirated ROMs) with the R4. Also, the lack of a GBA port doesn’t permit an EzFlash 3-in-1 expansion set on the NDSi. Which means no translated Mother 3 on the NDSi.

Thank goodness my 50 over NDS games will run on the NDSi as region-locking only affects NDSi titles. Mario Kart DS should look really nice on the NDSi. I’m curious to see whether the DSVision runs on that console as well.

I was in the loo a couple of days ago, taking a crap and reading on what Jeremy Clarkson describes as a beauty of a battleship, the most beautiful of them all. He was referring to the Japanese World War II ship, the Yamato.

Don’t know what I’m talking about? Well shame on you. Nothing short of superlatives can be used to describe this gargantuan leviathan of the oceans. It was the biggest, heaviest and most powerful (having 9 460mm cannons certainly helped) battleship to roam the seas.

Sent on a suicide mission when Japan’s WWII defeat was imminent, it was sunk by Allied forces, but not before receiving the better part of 12 torpedoes and direct hits from 10 bombs.

So it’s pretty strange to then bump into a plastic model of the Yamato selling at a discount no less! This model (officially called the Super Mechanics Japanese Battleship Yamato) measures 350 mm in length and approximately 80 mm in height, and is produced by Taito!

Almost all my stuff, my books, my games (all 47 Nintendo DS titles I own), and collectibles are downstairs packed in big brown boxes. My room is half empty after my workstation and bookshelf were disassembled and  wrapped in  plastic. Why you ask. Well, I’m moving to my new house, and into a bigger room, tomorrow!

I’ll still be popping by the old house once in a while, mainly to clean it and more importantly to use the Internet connection pending the availability of a phone line in the new house.

What else I have not packed? There’s the electronic organ and the PS2 (the Dreamcast on the other hand, is in the other house) as well as the PC.
