Wow. Like the title says, not only fhm.com.my doesn’t exist, Clive (yeah, the other local lad’s magazine, or the upstart, if you like) doesn’t have clive.com.my.

Those guys Down Under have a full-fledged lifestyle portal in the form of fhm.com.au, and even the Singaporeans have something of a website in fhm.com.sg. And we Malaysians, we have this:

At least buy the damn domain la FHM Malaysia. You wouldn’t want something of Josh Lim/Adam King debacle right?

Dear FHM Malaysia, thank you for your article on “Pong to PS3″ in your January 2009 issue. For a moment there I thought I was reading an issue of EDGE or Retro Gamer instead of your esteemed magazine. In any case, referring to the article above, I would like to call your attention to one pressing issue.. I didn’t know Sophitia wore a blue tube!

Anyways, you and I know why she’s wearing a blue tube in the first place. But no matter, I’ll do you guys a favour by providing the unadulterated picture:

I was just checking out some previews for Prototype, an upcoming game from Radical Entertainment for the PS3 and Xbox 360, when I realized something. Doesn’t the main character look like Altair, the main character from Assassin’s Creed?

Put a physician’s coat on me and call me doctor! I strayed from Fallout 3′s main quest (I’m supposed to fix some radio thingy) and raided an old abandoned hospital in D.C which was positively crawling with Super Mutants.

I wonder how those “main-quest-first, everything else later” players could have survive this level considering that they would have encountered it at an early stage (or maybe not, since that class of players don’t have a habit of straying).

In any case, raiding the hospital will net you a whole pile of stimpaks and other medical supplies, as well as ammo. My guy is almost at superheroic levels with small arms, didn’t have much trouble clearing the hospital at all.

Do note that the sewer leading to the hospital has both Talon Company mercs and Super Mutants. Let both forces thin themselves out (they are fighting!), before opening a can of whoop-ass on the survivors with your weapon of choice.

I’ve managed to get a game other than Fallout 3 to eat up my time, and that’s Quake Live. Don’t know what Quake Live is? It’s Quake III Arena playing through your web browser! A quick run through the game revealed that Q3A survived the web conversion in all its glossy, fast-paced, rocket-launching glory.

The game is currently in Beta testing and I managed to get a slot even though I forgot when did I apply for one. Screenshots, tonight!

Wow. Starting off Fallout 3′s main quest with my character being at level 14 brought a whole slew of achievements (and some nice trophies to go along with them). Let’s see, I killed my first Deathclaw (I still hate them), my first Super Mutant Behemoth and a whole lot of Super Mutant Masters. All of which without breaking a sweat.

Prior to this I was happily wandering around the wastelands, performing side quests and gained a whole of experience, and equally important, loot (ammo, weapons, etc etc). I didn’t want to do the main quest without a. being sufficiently prepared, and b. experiencing what the wastelands have to offer.

Strangely, my dialog options with Three Dog were found to be wanting. Despite being level 14, most of the dialogue options tend to indicate that my character is afraid of Super Mutants. Bahh..

Just in case you own a PS3 or an Xbox 360 but not the game, I’ve got a piece of advice for you. Get the game… like now! The PS3 version is going for USD 49.90 with free shipping to some countries. Check it out here.

If I ever had the chance to interview the developers of Fallout 3, my main question would be was the game inspired by the classic manga Hokuto No Ken (a.k.a Fist of the North Star)?

The similarities are pretty striking:

Heh. Hopefully our local postmen don’t go about opening Time Magazine correspondence from now onwards in search of a dollar bill.
