I saw a friend of mine playing this really cool game on the Nokia N8, it’s one of those 2D platformers where you’ll need to keep on running. Called Dalton – The Awesome!, it has this really cool-looking stickman-with-colour pencils art style that caught my eye in the first place.

The game is available both for Android and the iPhone as well. Having seen the game on a Samsung Galaxy SII (demo-ed by the same friend), Android users are advised that the game may run like it’s on steroids, in other words, crazy fast. LOL. I haven’t checked out the game on the iPhone yet, have you?

The online games publisher and developer Infernum announced today that shortly after the first announcement over 100,000 players have already registered for Brick-Force, the cross-platform sandbox shooter. Those who wish to experience Brick-Force before its official release in the spring can register for the beta which starts on the 28th February, over at www.brick-force.com. The free-to-play online game will be released for the PC, iOS, Android and playable via browser.

 Spacetime Studios takes its mobile and desktop Legends franchise into a frightening new world with Dark Legends. Players will embrace the secret societies of vampires to challenge the hordes of undead, werewolves, demons and humans that hunt them. The title will be released for Android, iOS and Chrome in the first quarter of 2012.

Fans of the popular Legends franchise, Pocket Legends and Star Legends, will discover a gameplay evolution in Dark Legends that draws them even deeper into the experience. If I’m on a tour of Dublin, one of the items on my itinerary would be a visit to the Guinness Storehouse. Having been a fan of Guinness Stout for years (even as a kid, yeah, I kinda started early), it would be pretty awesome to take a tour of that place. Having said that, air flight tickets to Dublin aren’t exactly cheap. Anyways, there’s a new official Guinness Storehouse app that serves as a virtual companion for visitors to that “hallowed” ground.

Once downloaded onto their phone, users can map their journey to the Storehouse using Google maps, purchase tickets online and check opening times. The Guinness Storehouse® App offers fully digitised multi-lingual tours of the seven storey building in English, German, Spanish, Italian and French.

These tours feature unique and interactive Hotspots, which upon selection, showcase specific points of interest on each floor through the use of photos, video and descriptions. Build once, deploy for many different devices, in other words, cross-platform development. That’s one thing that most developers would want to strive for especially when there are huge but disparate markets such as iOS and Android devices. Berlin-based Infernum is one of the latest game studios to jump onto the cross-platform bandwagon with its upcoming online-shooter, Brick Force.

Built using Unity 3D, this comic-style online game will be playble directly in the browser thanks to the Unity 3D engine and is a co-production from the Korean developer EXE Games and Infernum. The sandbox mode, in which players use simple building blocks to construct complex environments, can be played on social networks and mobile devices such as smartphones or tablets.

Today’s in-game trailer shows a range of various game modes. Features such as the classics “Capture the Flag“, “Deathmatch“ or the “Defusion“ mode in which bombs are planted, defused, and defended bring explosive entertainment into the user-generated maps.

Originally developed for the PC, Youda Survivor, an engaging time-management game is now available for FREE for Android devices and the Kindle Fire. In Youda Survivor, players take on the role of Youda, who has been washed up on the seacoast of the mysterious island.
