As an agency that develops apps, the folks at Ramotion have a pretty cool way to ensure their group of experts remain creatively sharp. Their latest iOS game, DodgeIt – The Color Dots Game, was a result of an internal competition between their design teams whereby they have only 3 weeks to develop a game, and that the game has to be very simple and fun, with almost no controls, just gestures and intuitive rules. That’s a pretty innovative way to run things in a app company, as it pretty much ensure a new title every 3 weeks.

In any case, DodgeIt lives up to the earlier mentioned credo, in which it’s very simple to play. Think of it of Pac-Man, but minus the maze. The objective is to guide your little yellow ball to eat as many other yellow balls (and heart-shaped power-ups) while avoiding all the other colored balls. All of this is presented in a flat, 2D UI. The swipe controls make this a very simple task but players will be working against the clock as they’ll need to continuously eat the yellow dots to stay alive.

DodgeIt is pretty fun for a lazy afternoon and the even better news is that the game is available for FREE (with ads of the non-intrusive kind) on the App Store. Nineoverten.com rates DodgeIt at a 4 out of 5. Check it out over here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/dodgeit-the-color-dots-game/id950258038?ls=1&mt=8
