Need to beat the Monday blues? Check out these free iOS games that have hit the App Store just recently. First up, we have Fire Command, an awesome 8-bit arcade shooter from indie developer Hieshimi. Inspired by old school games, particularly Missile Command and Asteroids, the game comes with unique retro-styled visuals.

Next up, you have Space Beats Saga by indie developer Rafael Lima who  bit into the whole Flappy Bird thing and ended up quitting his job to be a game developer. Space Beats Saga is a “one-man-made” FREE arcade game, with a lot of attention give to details and graphics. The game puts players’ reflexes to the test as they control one of 4 different space fighters in  a bid to avoid getting hit by cosmic rays.

forestry

Last but not least, here’s something for the kids from the folks at INGAME Ltd, titled Forestry. The game aims at educating children on nature, the forest and its dwellers through a lively, interactive application with wonderful animations and background music. Playing funny and educational mini-games, kids will help forest dwellers to build a house, gather food stuffs, pick up berries, go swimming and, of course, prepare for sleep.
