Cargo Commander Drills Its Way Into the Hull Of the Mac App Store

Digital Tribe Games is proud to announce that the game critics are calling “Addictive”, “Phenomenal” and potential “Platformer of the Year”, Cargo Commander, has just launched on the Apple Store for a limited time price of USD 7.99.

Now Mac App Store gamers can become one of Cargo Corps latest recruits – alone in space, light years away from their family, armed with only the Fistcannon(TM), Platform Drill and the meanest cup of coffee in the sector. The job is simple: travel through the vast reaches of wormhole-filled space salvaging priceless cargo from alien infested containers. No big deal, it’s just another day in the life of a Cargo Commander.

The work is hard, honest and hairy. When not punching deadly mutants in the face you must travel between your ship and incoming containers using advanced Cargo Corp-approved technologies, like Jumping(TM) and Holding Your Breath(TM) to collect over 80 unique cargo types. Plus you get to jockey for promotions against thousands of other Cargo Commanders in the galaxy and loot their bodies to gain that extra little edge.

The in-game song “Down the Drain”, written and performed by Misha Velthuis and produced by Doppler Sound, creates a sweet homesick feel and has developed a fan following all of its own. For a free MP3 download of the tune visit the official website throughout the month of December to help celebrate the game’s launch at the Mac App Store!
