SHADOWGUN Update Supports New iPad Resolution, 4X MSAA
While you guys have been busy queuing up for the new iPad, the folks at Madfinger have been busy too with their hit 3rd person shooter SHADOWGUN. The fruits of their labour is evident today with the release of a new update that brings about support for the native resolution of the new iPad (2048 * 1536) and 4X MSAA (multi-sample anti-aliasing).
The guys claim that the game runs “perfectly smoothly” on the new iPad even with all the bells and whistles thrown in, and for those of you who haven’t gotten the game, Madfinger is putting up the game on sale on the iTunes App Store with a special price of USD 2.99.
It’s an amazing thing that Madfinger is releasing this as an update to the existing universal binary and not choosing to cash in with a separate “new-iPad Retina HD” version, so existing players do not need to pay twice for the same game.
