Do you still remember that at one point, games like Talking Carl were all the rage? Basically those kind of games involving putting up an avatar on screen which can be respond to being “touched” on the touch screen or an even more cooler gimmick, mimic whatever your said using a cartoon-like voice.

The guys at GAMEVIL (just the other day I posted up some business news on them, check it out here), have come up with something similar called Talking Air Penguin which uses IP from their hit game Air Penguin, and more importantly is created by the development team that brought us Talking Carl in the first place, Tayasui!

Talking Air Penguin gives players another way to interact with the loveable Air Penguin, fresh off a run of bouncing and gliding in the Antarctic. By touching and using various gestures onscreen anyone can enjoy the quirky animations and voice effects – Talking Air Penguin will jump, flip, spin around, flap his wings and even repeat spoken phrases in his own funny voice.

“The original Air Penguin has been immensely popular with users for its simple gameplay, and we hope people will have more fun interacting with the spunky character in Talking Air Penguin,” said Kyu Lee, VP and Head of GAMEVIL USA. “Developer Tayasui has lent a dash of charm to make Air Penguin come alive.”

“This the first time, with Talking Air Penguin, that we share our know-how on making a Talking App and we are proud of this great opportunity to collaborate with such a big name of the iPhone universe,” said Yann le Coroller of Tayasui. Talking Air Penguin is a free iPhone app suitable for users of all ages, and is available from the App Store at https://itunes.apple.com/app/talking-air-penguin/id473920515.
