Fans of Pocket Legends on the iPhone/iPad, you guys are in for some really cool updates in the new client version 1.2. First up, PvP (player versus player) is made available in this update in the form of Team Deathmatch arenas whereby it’s 3 vs 3 or 5 vs 5. Upon joining an arena, a player chooses a side and battles the other team. A player death is a point for the other team. When you reach the score limit, the game ends and match standings are displayed. Arenas will have varying sizes, player limits, and optional powerups. Check out the video below:

Next up in the new features list is Secure Trade. Like any MMORPG, players tend to accumulate stuff, some of them maybe items that are of no use to them for a variety of reasons. Secure Trade allows a player to trade items, gold and potions securely with another player. To initiate a trade, inspect the person you want to trade with, then switch to the ‘Trade tab. When that person inspects you and goes to the trade tab, you’ll both then be able to set what items/gold/potions you want to trade, and confirm the trade when you’re happy with what the other person has offered. The trade is only applied when both sides have confirmed the trade since any modifications have occurred.

Last but not least, players can now purchase buffs (elixirs) with Gold or Platinum that can temporarily enhance their characters. Here’s something for the more tech-inclined: This client version also debuts a universal binary for Pocket Legends. Now iPod, iPhone and iPad users all run the same application at different resolutions
