Sometimes You Just Wish It’s Burnout: This Morning’s Highway Accident
I bore witness to an accident around 7 this morning on the LDP highway. A car was speeding on the fast lane into the bend right after the Kelana Jaya LRT station, before hitting the central divider, blowing out the two driver side tyres, damaging the undercarriage and trashing the front bumper.
There were sparks as the car grounded to a halt, and I saw all of this in real time through my rear view window (I first noticed the car as it was going really fast). This is more like something I encounter in Burnout Paradise (the video game) where car crashing is de rigueur.
The highway was slippery after last night’s rain and what was going through the driver’s mind, hugging the inner lane and going through the bend at high speeds? That’s a recipe for disaster. I saw how the car twitch when it got too near the divider; it was probably the driver reacting but that was too late.
I hope that the chap is OKAY and that the incident didn’t cause a traffic jam for the rest of you guys this morning.

wa…the roads are so slippery and wet…we should all drive slowly and steadily to avoid accidents……hope the driver is ok…
