Halloween Apps for Kids on the iPod Touch/iPhone

Published by tokyo_nights at 6:15 pm under Video Game News, iPhone

Both MPH and Popular Bookstores stock plenty of Goosebumps books. I never really understood the appeal, having skipped an entire generation of pre-teen and teenage horror books to read Stephen King instead.

Anyways, Halloween is coming up and Scholastic, the publisher for I SPY and Goosebumps, is putting up two Halloween apps for kids for both the iPod Touch and the iPhone. Here’s a summary of the two games:

I SPY Spooky Mansion: Takes players on a hidden object adventure through a scary and mysterious mansion where the only escape is to collect keys by solving classic I SPY riddles and puzzles.

Goosebumps PhotoShock: Inspired by the hugely popular Scholastic publishing phenomenon, the application allows users to edit their photos into ghastly Goosebumps frights. Goosebumps PhotoShock, intended for ages 8 and up, includes over 90 horrifyingly fun and creepy icons, objects and frames to customize photos.

Both Goosebumps PhotoShock and I SPY Spooky Mansion are part of Scholastic Media’s new suite of children’s games available for the iPHONE and iPOD touch.   The apps are available for either $1.99 or $3.99 from the App Store.  For more information on the apps please visit: www.scholastic.com/iphoneapps.
